Are You Proactive When It Comes to Dating?

When it comes to dating, you have two choices. You can either be proactive or you can be reactive. What
determines the type of person you become is all up to you. It is a choice to sit on your ass and do nothing about your situation
or to get up, go out and do what you want to do every day. Think about school and the final exam. The proactive student studies
an hour every day and eventually ends up with a very high grade. The reactive student doesn’t study at all until days before the
exam. The reactive student stresses out for an entire week and he either fails or gets a very low grade. I learned quick enough
in school that being on top of your work is the most important thing you have to do to succeed without much effort. An hour a day
doing anything is an eternity when you think about it.
Spending many hours for a couple of days is useless in terms of personal improvement. In life, there is no
highway, no fast lane, no super boost. Every day is a small step towards your goals and every day is a progression. It is
unnecessary to cram or stress yourself out about anything. With a well thought out plan and a proactive attitude you will always
be able to predict the future. Proactive people don’t fear the future because they understand that the future is up to them.
Reactive people fear the future because they believe other people are in control of them. This leads them to sit back and wait
for the world to hand them the leftovers.
When it comes to dating, the same concepts are true. We can either be proactive or reactive. If we are
proactive, we determine our future and will continue to determine our future for our entire lives. If we are reactive, other
people determine our future and will continue to do so for our entire lives if we don’t get off of our but and do something about
it. What does it take to be proactive?

First you have to educate yourself to realize that life is one big choice. The world is exactly what you believe it to be.
If you think there a lot of jobs, there will be a lot of jobs. If you think there are no jobs, there will be no jobs. You will sit in your
apartment and not look for jobs. It’s a crazy ass paradox that is a choice but it’s not that cut and dry. I think the reason most people don’t
make their own choices because they don’t realize they have that privilege. They don’t believe they can live above their current standard of
living. I think it’s all a matter of education and the ability to see the world as full of opportunity. There are so mental roadblocks a person
must overcome to succeed. Simply by learning, I believe any person can overcome these mental roadblocks that keep people from achieving their
goals in life. Proactive people don’t worry about the future because they are creating the future right now.
